In 1981, Gary Sharp, President and CEO of Advanced Heat Treat Corp., opened a small heat treating company in an abandoned construction site in Waterloo, IA with only two ion nitriders. Over the years, Advanced Heat Treat Corp. has grown tremendously, both in facility size and customer base. We have expanded to four facilities containing over 40 UltraGlow® ion/UltraGlow® gas nitriders, eight atmospheres furnaces and seven induction hardening machines, and we continue to add more and more services to our long list of capabilities. With such flexibility and innovation, we are able to provide services to world-class clientele in a variety of industries including automotive, agricultural, military, aerospace, energy, and off-highway equipment, just to name a few. Nevertheless, UltraGlow® Ion (Pulse Plasma) Nitriding continues to serve as Advanced Heat Treat’s signature heat treating process, and the glowing purple color has become a trademark of our commitment to UltraGlow®. |
