AHT's UltraGlow® case hardening process has been in place for over 30 years and has seen its customer base reap rich rewards as a result of improved product quality. UltraGlow® nitriding is the ultimate surface treatment for low-to-high carbon steels, cast irons, stainless steels, powdered metals and any variation of tool steels.
Due to increased compressive stresses at the part surface, fatigue strength is improved five to ten times its typical "non-treated" life, dependent on the material and part design. Studies have shown fatigue strength is improved without distortion as compared to other surface treatments, saving customers $$$ on fewer operations.
UltraGlow's® case hardening process can create a controlled white layer or compound zone which will improve a parts susceptibility to corrode or rust. This nitrogen enriched layer helps combat the elements and keep your parts looking fresh.
